Considering how many great lures are available today, it’s pretty bold to claim that we offer the best fishing spinners around. But we’ve been frustrated time and again by spinners that just don’t live up to expectations.
Most if not all of them bend too easily, they fail to spin reliably, and the components wear down quickly after minimal use. We got tired of wasting money on lures that seemed great out of the package but became essentially useless after a couple of tough fishing sessions.
That’s why we decided to design our own spinners from the ground up, incorporating features and durability that ensure they’ll keep performing at a high level for as long as you own them. Want to know the thought process behind the design decisions? Let’s dive in.
A Body That’s Nearly Indestructible
A wire shaft is the core of any spinner, and ours is built like a tank. We use an extra thick wire with tightly-fitted components making for a body that is nearly impossible to bend, even after tough snags or reeling in a huge catch. Other spinners have thin, flimsy wires that easily get bent out of shape.
Once that happens, it’s hard to get the wire true again and the lure’s spinning performance tends to suffer because of that. Our philosophy? Make the wire unbendable that you’ll never have to worry about it.
The Many Perks of a Propeller Blade
This is one of the several design choices that separates our spinners from anything else out there. Beyond the cool looks, the propeller creates a unique profile, vibration frequency, and water displacement compared to traditional single-blade spinners.
What’s more, the inclusion of this secondary blade also increases the amount of light reflected, often giving off a glow that is distinctly visible. The bottom of the propeller reflects light from the main blade, while the top of the propeller emits forward flashes that are highly visible to fish looking upstream in a feeding lane.
One of the more unique aspects of this configuration is how the propeller works in tandem with the main blade to ensure reliable, consistent spinning action regardless of the water conditions. No more struggling to get your spinner to actually spin, even in fast currents!
Perhaps the most interesting thing about this setup is how quickly the propeller turns. It spins faster than any other blade style we’ve tried, and in our opinion it gives the appearance that the slower main blade is chasing after small prey that is frantically trying to escape. This may be a factor in triggering bites from competitive fish.
It’s not just about the flash and action, though. Having a wider lead makes it easier for our spinner to skip over narrow gaps in rocks and other objects. In our experience, this results in fewer snags compared to the thin wire shafts on other lures that frequently get wedged.
Hook Caps: A Huge Convenience
Our spinners come with hook caps on the treble hooks for two awesome benefits. First, it prevents those hooks from getting tangled with other lures when stored together in a tackle box. There’s nothing more annoying than having to waste precious fishing time trying to untangle a mess of hooks.
Second, the hook caps make it super convenient to put a few spinners in your pocket when heading out to fish, no bulky tackle box required. When we first designed these lures, we wanted to make them easy to just grab and go. The hook caps let you safely stash some spinners in your pocket without worries.
Easy Hook Swaps (Single, Barbless etc.)
We attached the treble hook using a split ring so you can easily change it out for a different hook style whenever needed. Want to upgrade to a larger hook for bigger fish? No problem. Prefer a single hook or barbless setup? Just swap it out.
Others spinners have their hook permanently attached, forcing you to cut it off with wire snips if you want to change it out. With our spinners, you have the flexibility of using any hook that suits the conditions you’re fishing.
Designed to Last Until You Lose Them
In addition to the nearly indestructible wire shaft, our spinners feature an all-metal construction with no paint, stickers or plastic components that will get damaged or worn down while fishing โ and sometimes on the very first day.
We deliberately avoided any cosmetic additions that could chip, fade or break over time, and frankly, we often remove the paint or stickers anyway because we think the shiny bare metal results in more bites.
Our goal was simple: create spinners that stay as pristine as possible and perform at a high level for as long as they’re in your tacklebox. When you tie on Top Strike Fishing spinners, you can expect extreme durability and longevity.
Don’t Just Take Our Word For It…
“These are the most durable spinners I’ve ever had the pleasure of fishing. So far, they’ve drawn strikes from panfish, two rock bass, and a small bowfin. It held up to the bowfin bite fine, which was somewhat surprising. The price point also makes me unafraid to actually fish cover with them. If I lose one to a snag, I’ll just buy more. 10/10. There’s no reason not to have this in your tackle box.”

Our spinners have been tested by several anglers on YouTube and they’ve all been impressed to say the least. Two of them happened to catch something on their first cast!
We’ve put together a short video of highlights from these reviews. Just one note… the footage shows an earlier model that’s missing some of the premium features included in our latest design.
Big thanks to E Park Fishing, TGS Fishing and The Next Cast for putting our spinners to the test. Also to Costa of Zoungla for allowing us to use his song Anahata in the video above.
We’ve also been fortunate enough to have our spinners tested by Italo Labignan of Canadian Sportfishing. He modified the lure with a large single hook and his wife Barb hauled in a trophy pike. He also gives a thorough rundown of the key features you can expect from our spinners. Check it out:
The Best Fishing Spinners Around (If You Ask Us)
There you have it: the thought process and key design features that go into making what we consider to be the best fishing spinners available today. We’re avid anglers ourselves, so we opted for an ultra-rugged design focused purely on performance, dependability and longevity. These are the lures we’d want in our own tackle box.
We’ll let our spinners do the talking next time you’re on the water. Until then, tight lines!
